AncestryWeaver

Your genealogy is the beginning — not the whole story

Import your family tree. Build your family’s story.

Your genealogy already contains the names, dates, places, and relationships. AncestryWeaver helps your family preserve everything else — the photographs, voices, videos, recipes, letters, traditions, and stories that reveal who those people truly were.

Works with GEDCOM exports from Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, and RootsMagic.

“Grandmother kept a tin of shortbread on the highest shelf. On rainy Sundays she’d hum along to the wireless and let us have two pieces each…”

How it works

From a family tree to a living archive

Step 1

Import

Upload the GEDCOM file you already have. AncestryWeaver creates a connected memory page for every person.

Step 2

Enrich

Add photographs, stories, videos, recordings, recipes, letters, documents, and meaningful places.

Step 3

Invite

Bring relatives into the archive so everyone can contribute what they remember and preserve what they have.

Step 4

Pass it on

Create a living family archive that future generations can explore, hear, watch, read, and continue.

Memories Wanted

The most important memory may be the one no one has added yet.

AncestryWeaver helps families discover what is missing — and gives everyone a gentle way to help before it’s lost forever.

Start rescuing memories
  • Does anyone have a photograph of Grandma from the 1960s?
  • Who remembers Grandpa’s military service?
  • Can someone record Aunt Mary’s famous cookie recipe?
  • Does anyone have a recording of his voice?
  • Who can identify the people in this photograph?

Real stories from real families

I spent years with spreadsheets and paper notes. Within an afternoon, every photo, birth record, and half-remembered story finally had a home.

Margaret Chen

Built an archive for 4 generations

My niece asked the archive a question about her great-grandfather and got an answer in seconds. That moment made three generations feel connected again.

Common questions

Still deciding? Here's what families ask

Can I start for free?

Yes. The Free plan gives you a private workspace, up to 500 MB of storage, and 10 AI credits per month so you can try Legacy Chat and build your first memory book. Upgrade only when you want more space, collaborators, or unlimited AI.

Will I lose my data if I cancel Premium?

Never. You keep full access to everything you've uploaded. If you downgrade, your archive simply moves to the free storage and collaborator limits. We never hold your family memories hostage.

Can relatives view the archive without paying?

Absolutely. With a Family Legacy plan, one person pays and up to 25 family members get full access to the shared vault. Free plan members can also invite 1 collaborator to build together.

Can I import my Ancestry or MyHeritage tree?

Yes. Export a GEDCOM file from Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, or RootsMagic and upload it in a single click. We preserve names, dates, places, and relationships so you can start filling in the stories behind the facts.

Who owns my photos and stories?

You do. We do not sell, scan, or use your family data to train public AI models. Your archive is private by default, and you control exactly who is invited to view or contribute.

How does the AI keep answers accurate?

Legacy AI answers only from the people, memories, documents, and sources in your own workspace. It cites its sources with inline chips so you can verify every name, date, and place in a response.

Your family tree is already built. Now bring it to life.
